يقول صلى الله عليه وسلم ( الجن ثلاثة أصناف  فصنف لهم أجنحة يطيرون بها في الهواء ، وصنف حيات وكلاب ، وصنف يحلون ويظعنون ) الحديث أخرجه ابن حبان والحاكم وأورده السيوطي في الجامع الصغير رقم

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘The jinn are of three types: a types that has wings, and they fly through the air; a type that looks like snakes and dogs; and a type that stops for a rest then resumes its journey.” (reported by al-Tahhaawi in Mushkil al-Athaar, 4/95, and by al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer)

ومن هذه الأصناف الثلاثة الجن الصالح والشيطان والمارد والمريد والعفريت

Form this three types of jinns they are pious rebellious, mareed, maarid, Afreet, Allah mentions them in the Quran.

يقول تعالى: في سورة الصافات :} وَحِفْظاً مّن كُلّ شَيْطَانٍ مّارِد

And as protection against every rebellious devil Surat Aş-Şāffāt 37:7

{ وفي سورة الحج: } وَمِنَ النّاسِ مَن يُجَادِلُ فِي اللّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتّبِعُ كُلّ شَيْطَانٍ مّرِيدٍ

And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every (mareed) rebellious devil.Surat Al-Ĥaj 23:3

وفي سورة النمل: } قَالَ عِفْرِيتٌ مّن الْجِنّ أَنَاْ آتِيكَ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَن تَقُومَ مِن مّقَامِكَ وَإِنّي عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِيّ أَمِينٌ

A (Afreet) powerful one from among the jinn said, “I will bring it to you before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this [task] strong and trustworthy.” Surat An-Naml (The Ant) – 27: 39

ومنهم الطيار كما ورد في الحديث ، ومنهم الغواص كما قال الله تعالى في سورة ص : } وَالشّيَاطِينَ كُلّ بَنّآءٍ وَغَوّاصٍ

From them that fly like mentioned in the above hadeeth and those who dive and swim as Allah mentioned in the Quran

He devils [of jinn] – every builder and diver Surat Şād (The Letter “Saad”) 38:37

 ومن الجن من دينه الإسلام ومنهم الكافر اليهودي والنصراني والمجوسي وباقي الديانات الأخرى.

They have the ability to think and reflect. Similarly, to man they also have the ability to choose between the path of good and the path of evil in the same manner as humans The jinn have their own sect and group of Muslim, Jews, Zionist, Christians, Catholics, Masson, Buddhist, Hindu etc

Allah clearly states in Quran that He is the Creator of man and jinns, he is the most wise and the only one worth of warship.

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. 

Surat Adh-Dhāriyāt 51:56

مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ

I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. 

Surat Adh-Dhāriyāt 51:57 

يقول تعالى في سورة الجن : }وَأَنّا مِنّا الصّالِحُونَ وَمِنّا دُونَ ذَلِكَ كُنّا طَرَآئِقَ قِدَدا ً{ ويقول:} وَأَنّا مِنّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ تَحَرّوْاْ رَشَداً

Allah Says about the jinn speaking about their faith: And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways. Surat Al-Jinn 72:11 And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim – those have sought out the right course.

Surat Al-Jinn 72:14

 فمنهم العاقل الذكي ومنهم المغفل الغبي

SKILL OF THE JINN

From them who are intelligent,clever and smart they have intellect, and who have reason and wit about them and amongst them are those who are heedless.

وَلَقَدْ ذَرَأْنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ ۖ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ آذَانٌ لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ

And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like livestock; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless. Surat Al A raf 7:179

They can build buildings and make things as Allah says: 

يَعْمَلُونَ لَهُ مَا يَشَاءُ مِن مَّحَارِيبَ وَتَمَاثِيلَ وَجِفَانٍ كَالْجَوَابِ وَقُدُورٍ رَّاسِيَاتٍ ۚ اعْمَلُوا آلَ دَاوُودَ شُكْرًا ۚ وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُورُ

They made for him what he willed of elevated chambers, statues, bowls like reservoirs, and stationary kettles. [We said], “Work, O family of David, in gratitude.” And few of My servants are grateful. Surat Saba 34:13 They have their own society tribes kingdoms, works, slaves, rulers, soldiers:

وَمَا مِن دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا طَائِرٍ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّا أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم ۚ مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِي الْكِتَابِ مِن شَيْءٍ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ 

And there is no creature on[or within]
